HEAD COACH

Coach Catharine has been an artistic swimming coach for 45+ years and has supported artistic swimming teams across Canada and internationally. Catharine also coaches with the VanIsle Masters Artistic Swimming Club and is a certified NCCP Competition Development Coach, Certified Synchronization Technical Controller (STC), NCCP Learning Facilitator and Evaluator. In addition to club coaching, Catharine was BC Games Coach Mentor in 2024 and 2026, Canada Games Assistant Coach Team Ontario 1995, and the Canadian National Team manager in 1984 and 1994.

PROVINCIAL STREAM 11-12 COACH

Coach Jess has been coaching with the Nanaimo Diamonds since 2022. As a former Nanaimo Diamonds athlete, she earned multiple provincial titles and a gold medal in the team event at the 2016 BC Summer Games before continuing at the National Stream level with Victoria Synchro. At the 2024 BC Summer Games, she was Assistant Coach, leading the team to a bronze medal. Today, she leads the 11-12 Competitive Team, emphasizing growth, discipline, and teamwork while inspiring athletes with the same passion that shaped her own journey.

11-12 NOVICE COACH

Coach Ryleigh has been coaching with the Nanaimo Diamonds since 2023. She swam with the Nanaimo Diamonds for 6 years before transitioning into coaching. Ryleigh is currently a student at VIU and is AquaGo! and Competition Introduction trained, working towards full certification. Bringing her own experience as an athlete into her coaching, she is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where athletes build confidence, teamwork, and skill, while developing a lasting passion for artistic swimming.

AQUAGO! COACH

Coach Fiona has been with the Nanaimo Diamonds since 2018 and is currently swimming competitively at the provincial level. In 2024, she competed with the Zone 6 Vancouver Island Artistic Swimming Team in the BC Summer Games and brought home a bronze medal. She recently joined the Nanaimo Diamonds coaching team in 2026 and she is very excited to share her passion for artistic swimming and to inspire the next generation of athletes.

AQUAGO! COACH

Coach Ruby was an athlete with the Nanaimo Diamonds for 7 years before becoming a coach. She competed in the 2024 BC Summer Games, earning a bronze medal in the team event. Coach Ruby was an AquaGO! assistant for a year and a half before going on to coach her own AquaGO! group. She strives to create a safe, inclusive space for her athletes to learn and grow.
